5 Natural Remedies to Get Rid of Warts

Ridding your body of warts does not have to entail purchasing harmful chemicals or visiting the doctor to have them burned off. Items that most people already have at home work for wart removal. Each natural ingredient below has properties that help fight bacteria and other aspects of warts.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is commonly used to help heal a sore throat. It is for more than just cooking and cleaning too. Use apple cider vinegar at night will work while you’re asleep. The process simply involves soaking a cotton ball in the liquid and squeezing out the excess. Place it on the wart and use medical tape to secure it in place. Leave it on while you’re asleep. Take it off upon waking and repeat the process for 1 to 2 weeks, until the wart dies and falls off on its own without assistance.

Mashed Banana Peel

Proteolytic enzymes in the peel of bananas help kill warts. Instead of discarding the peel, scrape the inside of the entire peel and mash it in a bowl. Use an applicator to apply the mash to the wart. You’ll need to do this twice per day. The enzymes eat away at the wart, causing it to die.

If you touch the wart with your hand, make sure to wash them so that the bacteria and secretions that come from the wart can’t spread and cause an outbreak.

Potatoes contain starch. One starch dries, it hardens slightly. This helps dry out the wart. All you need is a potato and a knife. Peel and slice a small piece, roughly 1/2-inch in thickness. Place the piece over the wart and secure it with a bandage. Leave the potato on the area overnight.

If this is not practical, you can also use the peel of the potato. Massage the potato peel over the wart three times per day for 2 weeks. To get rid of warts, please continue reading to find out more details.

Basil has multiple anti-viral components. Warts are often caused by viral bacteria. This remedy is very simple to prepare. Use ¼ cup of fresh basil leaves. Place them into a food processor or use a heavy spoon to mash the leaves. Spread this onto the wart without touching it. Wrap it in a bandage and leave it on overnight while you’re asleep.

After 1 to 2 weeks, the wart should fall off on its own.

Pineapple Juice

If you have a wart on your hand or foot, soak it in pineapple juice. Although the juice softens the wart, the acidic properties help eat away at it a little at a time. Soak the affected area in pure pineapple juice for 30 minutes every day until the wart is completely dissolved.

These natural remedies cost far less than a doctor’s appointment and do not require the use of any special equipment. Most methods suggest overnight use. This means that there are no interruptions to your daily activities in order to rid your body of unsightly warts.
